A major step forward in calling for better access to living aids and equipment.
MPs have taken the concerns of occupational therapists straight to the UK Parliament, recognising ongoing challenges such as delays in community equipment, inconsistent provision and the impact on safe hospital discharge.
They echoed what many in our profession have raised for years, that people are waiting too long for essential equipment, and that a national strategy is urgently needed to ensure fairness and timely access.
This is a significant moment for OTs and the people we support.
